Wow
Say what you will about Barry O and his team. It is absolutely stunning to see on TV the vistas of the Mall packed literally for miles with people to see this Inauguration.
One views the scene with mixed emotions. On one level, it’s a little frightening to see people get too worked up about government. On the other hand, there has to be something positive about this many people wanting to be part of a political event.
It was also deeply moving — to me at least — to see the warmth and grace extended to the Obamas by the Bushes.
Whether or not Barack Obama turns out to be a great president, America is a great country.
UPDATE: Michelle Malkin seems a little crankier about the whole thing. I think you just have to go with the moment. We’ll get our turn again.
